The most frequent treatments used in a smile makeover are gum de-pigmentation, and multiple Porcelain/Composite Veneers as they are the most conservative procedures, are strong and great on aesthetics as well. However, Porcelain Dental Crowns or Bridges Implants and even Implant supported Dentures can also be part of a smile makeover depending as per case.
Smile Makeovers may also involve rapid orthodontic treatments to either pre-align teeth prior to multiple porcelain veneers.
The emergence of your smile depends on how great your teeth look and how healthy your gums are. But, the teeth make up for the major area that is visible when you smile, or even as you open your mouth to eat. Even a slightest of a dental concern – such as gaps between teeth, small cracks or chipped tooth, or any discolorations in the teeth – can affect your otherwise a great-looking smile, negatively, and can spoil your overall persona.
There are a number of dental treatments that can improve your smile. However, some of them may involve the bulk removal of healthy tooth structure and may even lead to more discomfort and pain, especially if the sensitive areas of your teeth (Dentin) are exposed or touched. Communication with your dentist about what you want corrected is critical for a successful result.

A Dental Veneer is a thin, shell like layer of material placed over a tooth, to improve the aesthetics of a smile or and protect the natural teeth that are damaged, discolored, stained, have unsightly gaps, or are improperly aligned. The procedure for Veneers is almost painless and there is no need for Local Anesthetic shots to be administered as well.
Veneers, combined with proper dental health practices may last for up-to 20 years, so you are assured of decades of enjoying your great-looking smile without worrying about them getting dislodged or be destroyed with normal wear and tear.
PROBLEMS ADDRESSED BY VENEERS
• Decayed or Damaged Teeth – Decay, small chip or cracks on the surface of a tooth can be addressed with composite veneers
• Slightly Crooked Teeth –The veneers offer immediate teeth alignment results
• Unsightly spaces between teeth can also be remedied with composite veneers
• Discolored or Stained Teeth – especially on the surface of teeth, and those that are resistant to teeth whitening procedures
• Small teeth, Irregularly shaped teeth
There are two main types of material used to fabricate a veneer:
These are custom-made Composite Shells can be created chair-side, directly by the dentist, thus they are also known as Direct Veneers. The aesthetic improvements on the teeth may be completed in a single dental visit.
The procedure for composite veneers requires extremely minimal or no reduction of the tooth surface, this minimally invasive procedure ensures that the healthy tooth structure is preserved. Composite resin veneers will last for several years before they need replacing; however, they may become stained and are not as resistant to wear and tear as porcelain veneers. The composite veneer treatment is more cost effective compared to the use of porcelain veneers; this is because of less material costs, decreased lab work and fewer visits to the dentist.
Porcelain Veneers are ultra thin, yet strong, custom-made porcelain shells, highly translucent, making them very close to the appearance of the natural tooth. These are used to improve the appearance of teeth that have visible cracks, small gaps, permanent discolorations, or have chipped due to some injury and/or other issues, resulting in amazingly improved and natural looking smiles.
High Quality Porcelain Veneers can also be fabricated using CAD/CAM technology for extreme precision, so that they leave no space between the prosthetic & the tooth where harmful bacteria could grow. This makes them a better choice in teeth with high susceptibility to infections.
The condition of your teeth has a huge impact on how your smile looks, so it is suggested to deal with any dental issues as soon as possible – before these minor issues have a chance to worsen into something more serious. If dental problems are not addressed or treated on time, they may lead to tooth loss or even infect the surrounding tissues inside the mouth.
Tooth decay is one of the most commonly neglected dental issue and needs to be treated immediately to avoid having to deal with complications later. Early detection and treatment of the carious tooth can still save the affected tooth, and can prevent the damage and infections from spreading to the surrounding teeth. Tooth Colored fillings (Composite Resins) can help save teeth that have been damaged by tooth decay or other causes, and can ensure that your smiles will still be as dazzling as you want them to be.
(Composite Resins) are used to repair the damaged part of the tooth, which may be caused by tooth decay, or other dental problems. These can effectively restore the form and function like a natural tooth (or the affected teeth), so you can go on smiling and enjoying normal daily tasks such as eating, chewing, or even just smiling with confidence.
It is frustrating to have a smile that shows more gums then what is suppose to be normal, it may make your teeth look much smaller – and making your smile look unnatural. A gummy smile can reduce the impact of your otherwise great-looking smile due to the fact that more gums are visible then your pearly whites that actually should have taken center stage in the smile.
Are you conscious of the way your smile appears, because you know that your smile shows more of your gums – and less of your dazzling white teeth?

WHAT CAUSES A GUMMY SMILE?
Listed below are some of the causes that may lead to a gummy smile individually or combined
• High lip line (or a short/small upper lip)
• Teeth that are much smaller compared to the length and size of the gums that support them
• Worn teeth, which can make the size of the teeth a lot smaller than what is normal
• Teeth that have not fully erupted (or teeth that have passively erupted) from the gums.
• Skeletal deformities of the jaw bone (upper jaw bone’s vertical overgrowth)
• Hyperactive Lip elevator muscle
Crown lengthening is a surgical procedure done to expose a larger area of the tooth, and is usually done in preparation for a cosmetic dental treatment or procedure to fix a severely damaged tooth. The affected tooth will need to have sufficient structure showing from out of the gum line to be able to support a dental filling or a crown; in cases when there is not enough of the tooth structure from above the gum line, a crown lengthening will need to be done.
A crown lengthening procedure is done by cutting through the gum tissue, and then removing some of the tooth structure (usually around the tooth’s circumference) in preparation to the placement of a dental filling or a dental crown. There are cases when both the structure of the tooth and the soft tissue surrounding it (the gums) will need to be removed or altered, as in the case of dealing with a gummy smile problem.
The crown lengthening treatment will be done with the help of a local anesthesia, to ensure the comfort of the patient throughout the entire procedure. Depending on the dental concern that needs to be addressed, some of the gum tissue and the bone structure may be removed or altered, before the tooth can be fixed with a dental filling or a dental crown. After the procedure, the gums will be stitched together to promote healing, and to protect the area that has been affected by the crown lengthening surgical treatment.
Teeth Whitening & Gums BleachingTeeth whitening treatments are cosmetic dentistry procedures that aims for whitening your teeth or improving their coloring, so that your smile looks much more attractive and healthier then ever before. Teeth whitening treatments are ideal for the removal of stains or discolorations on the surface of the teeth, which may be caused by a number of factors.
Dental Jewellery is a brilliant way to add sparkle to your smile and stand out of the crowd. Teeth jewellery adds that extra charm to your smile and enhances the personality.
It is a special Swarovski crystal or sparkling stone, which can be bonded to your teeth to enhance your smile. It’s temporary, non-invasive and painless.
Dental jewel (Skyce, by Ivoclare Vivadent) offered at our office is made and certified in the EU, and is available in two colors: “crystal” and “sapphire blue”. During a painless procedure, a dentist fixes a jewel on the tooth surface. The jewel does not damage tooth tissues and has no side effects – except for the increased charm of your smile! It can be easily removed without any side effects on the dental tooth structure as the procedure is non-invasive and the crystal can be re-fixed again at a later stage.
Call it an oral fashion statement to stand out among ordinary mortals or simply an effort to blend in with the bold and the beautiful. The trend is catching up even with young males, especially those heading towards foreign destinations for study or leisure. Skyce is putting an extra sparkle into more and more smiles. After a full mouth cleaning & polishing to eliminate any stains and deposits, the jewel is stuck on the tooth with a primer and an adhesive agent. This process does not damage the enamel, which is a big advantage. You will just need few hours to get used to the small jewel in the mouth. We provide you with all instructions concerning the care of dental jewels. Most important is perfect mouth hygiene.
The dental jewel is attached to the tooth with a substance, which does not damage the enamel, it is therefore possible to remove it or change it without consequences. The dental jewel can last a relatively long time; it is however limited by the stress put on the decorated tooth and dental care. If the jewel gets loose unexpectedly, it is possible to reattach it easily by the dentist. You can also get the jewel color changed in future if you prefer “something new”.
With latest advances in Cosmetic Surgery and Laser Treatments most skin warts, moles and skin tags can easily be removed without any pain and leave minimal scarring, if any.
Skin Mole: A mole is a pigmented (colored) spot on the outer layer of the skin. They can be under the skin growth or a pigmented growth on the skin. It occurs when the cells develop in a cluster, rather than spreading evenly across the skin. They may be round or oval, raised or flat, ranging in color from pink to dark brown or even black. Sun exposure and genetics can both play a major role in their formation. Most moles are benign (Non Cancerous) and pose no health risks, but some growths may be a sign of cancer.
If you are over the age of 30 and notice a new mole, or if an existing mole changes shape, size, or color, it’s a good idea to have it checked. Spots that are painful, itchy or prone to bleeding ate a reason for concern as well.
Skin Tags: Skin tags are very common small, soft skin growths. Skin tags are harmless but can be annoying and aesthetically unpleasing to look at. They tend to most commonly occur on the eyelids, neck, armpits, groin folds, and under breasts.
A highly targeted beam of laser light is aimed at targeted area. The energy from the laser heats up the tissue, vaporizing and destroying the cells; removing the mole, wart or skin tag instantly. The procedure is almost painless and with minimal or no blood loss. The treatment has a short recovery time with manageable discomfort lasting only 2-3 days. As new tissue is formed during healing, leaving behind an almost flawless skin. The procedure usually takes only a few minutes. A tropical anesthetic may be applied before use of the laser but it isn't always necessary, as there is minimal discomfort during the treatment.
We evaluate and remove the cancerous growths, while also treating individuals who want moles removed for cosmetic reasons, using world class laser techniques for removal of such skin irregularities to ensure the best outcomes possible at our office, at affordable prices.
